I hate camping! Sleeping in a tent, bugs crawling all over you, cold hard floor, I couldn’t think of anything worse! My mum always had some funny names for certain things (don’t all mums!) and one that will stick with me forever is “boiled egg with toast fingers” that my mum always called “puppy egg and soldiers” (I have no idea why) and so every year on Easter Sunday that is what we would have to eat. Before anyone asks “No!” I am not scrapping the barrel with this one, it will be a lot more interesting than you think I promise. Maybe I am putting far too much thought into the little things in life but I often think about what certain things like “Coat hooks” say about the “coat hanger”? After all it was Charles De Gaulle who once said “start out in a new relationship by giving up your hat, then you give your coat, then your shirt, then your skin and finally your soul.” Well before I give up all that lot I will be checking where it is going, so I have decided to look at…

This is simply stunning! Simple design, easy to replicate and looks incredible. Really the only thing you would need to pay for is the outer frame, but then again you could just a plank off a pallet of something like that. I for one, loved this.

For me this cool coat rack made from recycled forks is a lot better than the same thing but with spoons because a fork can be bent into certain styles that seem to give it a lot more “personality” than the spoon ever could. Bad ass forks?! Oh yes!

When I was much younger a neighbour of ours went to America for a holiday and came back with something that forever changed my life. What he had brought me was a packet of Oreo’s! Sadly you can’t buy this rather creative Lady Bird Vs. Bumble Bees checkers set but the moment I saw it, it made me smile and that is a sign that it is something rather special indeed. It is creative, genius and dare I say rather beautiful!

If you have spare money to burn why not use it to get this ultimate, luxury checkers set! The pieces are made from solid brass and plated with 24K Gold/Silver. Personally I would be too sacred to scratch what is probably the World’s most expensive checkers set to play it, but I would be more than happy to keep it on display if ever I win the lottery.

This art attacked fridge is part of a campaign called “Fridge-A-Thon” (no longer active) and it purchased old fridges that are damaging to the environment and turns them into amazing pieces of art! A great cause, and an even better design of fridge.

10 – If you play rubbish, blame the table!

This was first seen in my post “Top 10 Best Things Made With Refuse Skips” and is still a great idea, although I would imagine the cost of a rubbish skip would be far more than a humble table tennis one. But if you happen to have one laying around it is a great idea!
